Frosting recipe

We wanted to add some icing to our doughnuts. Kelly thought of Cinnabon frosting. I googled it and it turned out delicious! It is very close to the Cinnabon frosting. It did need to be beaten with a mixer for 12 minutes, but is still pretty easy.

The website we found looks very interesting too. You can tell what quantity you want and it adjusts the ingredients. (for example, it orginally made 4lbs and we adjusted it to 1 cup) Here’s the recipe:

here is the orginal recipe but it for making 4 lbs, so unless you are going to have a bake sale, I advise you to go the website ūüôā

1 pound Margarine
1 pound cream cheese
2 pounds powdered sugar
2 teaspoons lemon juice
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Allow margarine and cream cheese to reach room temperature. Beat cream cheese and margarine together in a bowl with a mixer. Slowly add in all powdered sugar. Once all of the sugar is in the bowl mix for AT LEAST an additional 12 minutes. When almost done, add in the extracts

I meant to put the pictures in the single pic format but I need to get Caleb up from his nap. Maybe I’ll get to it later.

Long time, huh?

Sorry¬†I haven’t posted in so long! I haven’t uploaded pictures from the camera in a while. I also haven’t found long to be on the computer lately.

I¬†will do a longer post soon, but I thought I’d write about a¬† few things about the boys.

Ethan was looking at his book recently and asked me something about a “hiccup” truck. I realized he meant pickup!

He loves to turn on the lights for our Christmas village. He wants me to close my eyes and then be surprised by the lights.

I¬†started giving Ethan a job to do each day. He unloads the silverware out of the dishwasher. Rather distracted, but he’s getting it.

Caleb is sitting up really well; no toppling over now!¬† He laughs so much at Ethan. Caleb is eating a lot more food. I tried mashed peas the other day, with bad results. He did not want to eat them and wouldn’t open up after a few bites.

Caleb’s favorite thing about Christmas was tissue paper, I think!
